What is a dim-out curtain?
You often read the term dim-out curtains, but what does that actually mean?
dim-out curtains offer a lot of privacy: you cannot see through them when they are closed. They also block a large amount of the light, but not all of it. Depending on the colour, some light can always shine through the fabric.
Lighter shades like off-white let more light through, while dark colours like anthracite dim-out much better.
What is the difference with a 100% Blackout curtain?
In the Netherlands we use one collective term: Black out. But in other countries they distinguish between: dim-out curtain (partially Black out) and black-out curtain – fully Black out. Our 100% Black out curtains are designed in an innovative manner, so that the luxury fabric truly lets no light through – even in lighter colours. This type of curtain has the same beautiful, luxury fabric on both the front and back. It falls smoothly and not a speck of light comes through. This way you can easily make any room dark and cozy!
Tip: you can quickly see if curtain fabric is Blackout by holding your phone's flashlight behind it. Do you still see light shining through the fabric? Then it is not a Blackout fabric.
