Wash bed linen

Washing bedding is an important aspect of maintaining a clean and healthy sleeping environment. Washing bedding regularly not only helps remove dirt and bacteria, but it also keeps your bed smelling fresh and feeling comfortable. Here are some tips you can follow to wash your bedding effectively:

1. Wash your bed linen inside out:
To keep (the color of) your bedding beautiful, we advise you to wash your bedding inside out.
2. Don't put too much laundry in your washing machine:
If you put too much laundry in the washing machine, you are more likely to develop pills because a lot of fabric rubs against each other. Place a maximum of two single-person cover sets or one double-person cover set in the washing machine.
3. Do not use too much detergent:
Follow the recommended amount of detergent. If you use too much detergent, this can cause white streaks on the bedding, which would be a shame!
4. Sort the laundry:
Sort your bedding by color and fabric. Lighter colors can be combined, while darker bedding should be washed separately to prevent color bleeding. In addition, it is important to keep delicate fabrics separate from stronger fabrics.
5. Temperature:
Use the correct water temperature. In general, warm water is effective at killing bacteria and allergens, but make sure you follow the recommended temperature to avoid damage to the fabric.
6. Drying:
Be careful when drying (excessive heat can damage the fibers and cause shrinkage).
To prevent wrinkles, you can put your bedding in the dryer for a very short time (approx. 10 minutes) and then hang it up. Try to shake out the bedding and hang it up as wrinkle-free as possible; then you hardly have to iron afterwards.
If possible, hang the bedding outside to take advantage of the fresh air.
7. Ironing:
If necessary, iron the bed linen at a suitable temperature. This not only helps remove any wrinkles, but also contributes to a neat appearance of your bedding.
8. Save:
Store your clean bedding in a clean and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight and ensure that the storage area is well ventilated.

By following these simple steps, you can ensure that your bedding is not only clean, but also comfortable and durable. Proper care of your bedding contributes to a healthy sleeping environment and extends the lifespan of your bedding.
